Each year I buy a jumpsuit that i utterly love and remember all over again why I love jumpsuits. They’re an instant one piece outfit that you feel a certain amount of freedom that dresses (yes not even maxi dresses) can’t provide.
My favourite cut is the wide leg culotte style, for me it flatters my pear shape more and doesn’t make me look like spongebob square pants (trust me, its not a good look).
Yes they can be a bit of a bother when bodily functions need relieving, but as long as you don’t leave it till the very last minute you’re generally fine.

I was completely drawn to this rust coloured orange jumpsuit in New Look. I was actually in there taking something back and literally felt pulled in by its vibrant colour. They also do this in the most divine mustard colour too, but for my the rusty orange was for me.
The button down detail is bang on trend this summer and is a trend i really love, it’s just a nice detail that adds to any piece. Like I mentioned, there’s an element of freedom that comes with wearing a jumpsuit, it feels like you can run jump and remain dignified (well have you seen me run? There is nothing dignified about it, but you get my gist) knowing that you won’t be flashing or tripping on your dress hem.
I paired mine with some open toes black espadrilles and a little black macrame style bag for relaxed smart vibes, but the other great thing about this little marvel is how easy it is to dress up. Pop on some barely there type heeled sandals in black, tan or nude and wear with a fabulous clutch and statement earrings and you instantly have going out style.
Oh i do love a versatile piece, don’t you?
