Transitional Maxi Skirt & #Passion4Fashion Linkup

Hello and Happy Friday to you!

Ohh its been a cold and frosty week here with temperatures at -4 and lots of the Uk being covered in snow (Not me yet.. as i type this on Wednesday it’s forecast for big snowfall on Thursday/Friday.. but we shall see, it seems to miss my town every single time, and damn it i want snow!!), which has meant pretty outfits have been put on the back burner for now. However, i did manage to wear this gorgeous maxi skirt last week before the cold snap truly hit. And even though it was definitely not spring like in temperatures, the thermal tights underneath definitely kept the cold at bay. I can’t wait to wear this skirt again and i honestly think it will work so hard throughout the seasons and be a great all year round item, which we all know i love! Avoiding snow and rain of course (soggy hems are never nice!), i think this will work so well with some white trainers, sandals or knee high boots, denim jackets, cami tops or a slogan tee.. The remixing is limitless with this rather fab skirt.

I didn’t manage to snap any close ups (we were loosing the light) of the lovely print, but its stars and ditsy florals on a lovely dark background(You can see it clearer here) but yes i love it. And i actually wore it the same way it was styled on the website as it was just so lovely an fresh.

The yellow jumper was a must have for me because if i’m still having to wear knitwear through March then i’m going to choose nice sunshiney colours! I also managed to put a thermal vest under this too, so felt toasty warm all day but felt like my outfit was positively spring like!

Do you like a maxi skirt for all seasons?

That’s such a pretty maxi skirt! I love the yellow jumper with it too, looks so cosy! 🙂

It’s funny as my recent post and the one I linked up is how to wear a maxi skirt 30 ways across all seasons so I agree with you, you can definitely layer them to make them weather appropriate if there’s no snow!

Thank you for the link up!

Hope you are having a great week so far! It’s officially Autumn here in Brisbane now, although the weather is still very summer-like, ha! Very far removed from your predicted snowstorm.

Skirt is gorgeous! I’m finding it hard to do photos too! I have summer clothes to post, imagine sleeveless tops in the snow! Snow way that’s going to happen!
    Have a great weekend Rachel.

Hi Rachel, think the snow was heading your way. We were due the blizzard but it missed us. But we did get a dusting of snow and I was a kid for a few days as it usually misses us altogether too. Seeing how the blizzard has already bludgeoned the SW, be careful what you wish for!
Love the jumper teamed with the pretty skirt. It’s a perfect mix. Never thought to wear yellow in winter but with and you and Janice R selling me the idea, well spring yellow … get ready for me!

What a great maxi skirt! And I love it paired with the yellow sweater. I love maxi skirts but only really have one for the spring or summer. Great idea to wear this one with thermal tights to make it weather appropriate! Happy Friday!

I’ve never tried a maxi skirt, I’m worried it might make me a bit short. I’d love to try one though, they look so nice and they seem super comfortable. I love how you paired the skirt with the yellow jumper, it’s such a happy colour and adds a fun and summery element to anything.

Cute skirt! I really should wear more maxi styles in the winter. I do wear a lot of dresses, but they tend to be a tad shorter.
