Pink & Green & #WhatMamaWoreMonday Linkup!

Pink and green, one of those colourful combinations that i adore. the contrast is striking and fun, the pink adding life to a very tired face, lifting the colour and perking up the features. Which. in this instance. is very much needed when you’ve been having way to many late nights binge watching Peaky Blinders on Netflix (oh my god, have you seen it? I am addicted and i’m just about tot start series 3!)

I bought this shirt as a cheap (well) under £20 pick me up last week, the cheerful colour and floral print screams spring which is perfect for those among us (ahem, me) that are craving some Spring sunshine. I love that it’s great with jeans but can be worn with black trousers or skirts, which makes it a really useful little shirt for £12.99. I shy away from bold prints quite a lot, sticking to mostly stripes and a bit of animal print thrown in for good measure. Every time i buy a bold floral shirt i end up selling it or giving it away, but maybe this is the one that is for actual keeps. For now it is anyway, and for the small price tag, it was definitely worth the punt and is making me smile and think of spring (even if it is only 4 degrees outside)

The green coat was added as a chuck it on and go. I don’t like to play favourites with my coats but this one has a very small cost per wear having had it a year now and still no sign of me letting up on it. Its oversized style and striking green colour (especially when in a sea of navy and black coats, which for some reason is very often the case) always makes me happy. Its cosy and looks good with most outfits, which is why i seem to reach for it time and time again.

Is pink and green a colour combination you would wear?

I’m surprised at the cheapness of the shirt. It looks like a more expensive brand. Great colour combo. I must try it. I’ve tagged on IG today. Thank you

I’ve never thought about wearing pink and green together – but it looks lovely on you! I bought a pair of green cigarette trousers in the sale over the weekend – they were so cheap that I didn’t really think too much about the colour until I got back home and wondered what the hell I was going to wear them with! Might have to give some pink a go! 🙂

I personally love to pair pink and green together, I think they look great and that outfit just proves it. I love the shirt, it’s such a statement and it’s so pretty and perfect for spring. I can’t wait for spring either, I just want to bust out my dresses and skirts and bright colours.

That shirt is so pretty! The print looks very vintage.
