The Red Velvet Midi Skirt That I Couldn’t Live Without (& #Passion4Fashion Linkup)

I realised this week that i hadn’t actually worn this skirt here on the blog.. i mean whuuuttt? How did that happen, ‘cos i absolutely love this skirt and have worn it many times and posted it on Instagram.  To say i love it, would indeed be an understatement.

Its actually exactly the same as the blue one that the husband hated (that post can be found here) and needless to say he hates this one too, ha!! But it works well for me and I have worn it dressed up and dressed more smart-casual in day time too.

When i bought these skirts i kind of thought they would be the wild card in my wardrobe and maybe get a few wears but in actuality they’ve been worn a lot this autumn and will continue to be worn through winter i don’t doubt. Who knew i had such a need for a pleated midi skirt

Here are some of my favourites i’ve found at the moment

I wore this particular outfit to go see Miss Saigon in the Wales Millennium Centre with my Mum and Sister. It was my Christmas present to them and we had a blast. I love musicals and shows and it was my first time seeing Miss Saigon which did not disappoint. We are already planning our next show, we’re thinking Wicked possibly.  I love giving gifts of experiences rather than actual things, making memories and having a blast is just the best.

Which leads me on to CHRISTMAS.. 3 more sleeps ladies.. can you believe it? I hope you’re all as ready as can be! And it just leaves me to wish you all the most magical Christmas, i hope it is filled with lovely food and festivities but most importantly surround yourselves with loved ones and enjoy each others company.

That is such a beautiful midi skirt! I love the colour, and your star print shirt is perfect with it! I have a similar shirt, I should get it out more often! I don’t have any pretty midi skirts like this to wear it with though, haha!

Thank you for the link up!

Hope you are having a great week! With all of the gifts bought and wrapped I’m enjoying a few quiet days until Christmas. Have a merry Christmas Rachel!

Debated for ages between the red and the black one. Husband said buy both, I said no blacks more practical . Oh how i wished I seized his generous mood and bought both although I love my black one particularly the elastic waistband a definite for Christmas Day over indulgence 😉

Rachel, this red velvet skirt is just as gorgeous as the blue one that your husband hated! I can see why you had to have it. I love the way you styled it, too, with the cute star print top and edgy leather jacket. Merry Christmas to you and your family!

I agree, that midi skirt is stunning. I need a pleated velvet midi too. So good that you own it in two colors – husbands don’t know lol. I love how you styled this look. Paired with the star-print utility shirt makes for the perfect Christmas festive look. Also love your Christmas wish and the present to your mom+sister. Making precious memories is the best!

Merry Christmas to you and yours Rachel and welcome by and join my linkup this week too. A new one goes live every Thursday!
