The temperatures have plummeted here this past week, barely touching double figures at all, which means i need all the warm stuff constantly. I am one of those people who really feels the cold so layers, knitwear and cosy coats are an absolute must for my existence through winter.
And what better way to stay warm but in a (Faux) Shearling Coat.
Now these come back year after year, they work so well as a casual weekend coat with just a little bit of a retro touch. The Shearling aviator is perfect for those days when your biker jacket has to be left on the hook for the fear of freezing your boobs off. Yep.. when i get cold, it aint pretty.
Mine here is not actually mine (wahahaha). Perks of having a teenage stepdaughter who has finally gotten to the age/size where you can steal each others clothes. Its ok, it works both ways. I did have a certain bomber jacket that now seems to have been accosted by her, so fairs fair.
Sharing is caring after all 😉
So i went full on layers for this cold early morning. Blogger woes, I actually forgot, as i do every single winter, how hard it is to get photos in good light. This was done at 7.15 in the morning at it wasn’t even properly light yet. But Salvatore had to be on his way to work, and after work (if hes home) is just not going to happen as its dark by about 4.45. Blogger woes indeed.
Just a quick sidenote on something that is truly noteworthy:
These Levi’s (Mile High Super Skinny) hold their shape like no other! I am so so impressed by them and how ‘skinny’ they stay through multiple wears and no saggy knees and they seem to work with you, lunges and all. Amazing!
Some rather marvellous Shearling coat options
Left: Asos Premium parker
Right: New Look Khaki Jacket
These two traditional are my absolute favourites, both under £50 and both perfect for winter. This is the type of coat you would look forward to pulling out each winter.
Right: F&F Longline Shearling coat
Matalan: Shearling Coat
