A Break from Jeans with some Great Trousers (& #Passion4fashion Linkup!)

Last week i had a craving for trousers. Sometimes i find myself living in jeans all week that i suddenly get the urge to break out of the usual leg attire and wear some trousers.
Its just nice for a change.
I have a couple of stipulations for trousers. One is comfy (no crotch riders thank you) and second they have to be a nice fabric that’s not clingy. These are the softest fabric, they move freely with you (no wedgies in sight you’d be pleased to know, or slightly disgusted at the thought of me mentioning wedgies.. sorry, i have a mind like a child) and sit perfectly on the waist.
Quite simply, they are divine.

A little bit of check in a monochrome colour scheme is a perfect addition to my wardrobe. I knew i wanted to pair them with my plum merino sweater from Gap, but i love the styling of them on the website too (here). I’m now on the look out for a grey turtle neck slouchy jumper (This Boden one is gorgeous) to copy the look completely. Then when it gets colder, i can swap my loafers for some black ankle boots (and sockies) and a thick coat and there we have an instant outfit update.
Not even mentioning the other possibilities of black and white, red for Christmas and a chambray shirt.

You get the point..
These trousers are a wonderful alternative to jeans.

Do you like to wear trousers or are you a jeans girl through and through?

Quick mention to my new lovely Rebecca Minkoff bag that i had been dreaming of..
Divine isn’t it? And the perfect shade for the season too!

I know nothing about troursers, but you look fabulous in then, and more beautiful everytime I visit.
Thank you for the lovely link up.

I have been exclusively wearing dresses and skirts during the summer and early autumn as it is still so mild here in the UK. I am planning to start wearing trousers again as soon as it gets colder and yours look fabulous. I do need some more casual styles as most of my trousers are black office style for work.

I don't wear jeans as I have an aversion to denim but my best friend has been trying to persuade me to buy some – see my next post for the story!

Fabulous windowpane trousers! They look lovely with your loafers and plum sweater. I am more of a skirt gal, but I do enjoy wearing a nice pair of trousers.

Gorgeous Miss Rachel, I have a few comments for this post:
    1. I love the windowpane trousers.
    2. I love the purple sweater.
    3. Your whole outfit is simply perfection.
    4. I just bought a gray slouchy, chunky knit sweater from Kohl's (by Jennifer Lopez). It I new so I'm sure it is available online at Kohl's.)
    5. I love Love LOVE that you used the words wedgies and divine in subsequent sentences! You are woman after my own literary (um, I mean, silly) heart!

Thanks for hosting the linkup, inspiring me, and making me laugh!

Ooooh this is very, very chic – very grown up sophisticated, but that's a good thing! Loving all the rich dark colours, and those check trousers are perfection in a pair of pants, haha (and yes I just laughed at my own alliteration 😉

Enjoy your weekend lovely! We'll chat tomorrow, yes…?!! =she crosses her fingers for good news=

I used to wear trousers all the time when I worked an office job. Now I can't bear the thought of putting a pair on in my leisure time. Maybe I've just been missing the right pair all this time because you male those look flawless!

I really like what you've done here Rachel. I am always so plain when I match black and white usually sticking to just black and white. If I do add some color, I usually go with red. But here you've gone with a little red (bag), and little orange (necklace), and maroon with the sweater and bag. I obviously need to experiment a bit more because this all looks fabulous!

Thank you for the #Passion4Fashion link up Rachel!

I love trousers too! Especially patterned ones for work. I have a pair that are similar to yours except in blue and I get a lot of use out of them. Yours are so cute with the purple sweater.

Lovely trousers, they look great with the patent shoes. The bag is absolutely gorgeous – I keep seeing all these lovely Rebecca Minkoff bags, so now I'm thinking I'll have to ask Santa nicely for one!

My advice to fashion bloggers would be to focus a lot of energy on the photos and be sure to organize them on killer Pinterest boards. Memes are hot, so are the photos that have text on them, infographics, tall pins. These will all drive traffic back to their blog.

I truly believe that imagery is the frosting on a cake. There are always people that only eat the frosting. Pinterest is one giant river of frosting. Fashion is so visual, if you build your boards wisely on pinterest the army of frosting eaters will recirculate your imagery and do the rest of the work for you."
