The most comfiest summer shoes (& P4F linkup)

Do you know the one thing i dislike about summer? The wearing in process of new sandals… There’s nothing like multiple blisters, cuts and plasters to really put me off wearing that pretty new pair of strappy sandals. Last year i even got an infection from a wound that was from a pair of sandals.. i was on antibiotics and everything.. all in the name of pretty sandals.. Crazy huh.

Well not this year. Nope. I am fully planting my feet in the comfort zone. And i have one word for you.

Espadrilles.

Say hello to your comfiest summer shoe everrr.

You are welcome 😉

I had been eyeing up espadrilles all through spring, there are some lovely varieties out there, striped, plain canvas or patterned. I knew mine had to be comfy first up but also go with lots and be able to throw them on to do everything from the school run to a lunch date.

These are more than a little Chanel-esque also.. which i freakin’ adore!

These beauties are from Daniel Footwear, one if my most favourite footwear stops, they have siuch an amazing selection of designer womens footwear.. its like Mecca. And i have literally not stopped wearing them. They are the most comfy summer shoes and i think they look great with pretty much everything; skirts, dresses, jeans or trousers. They are the best summer shoe i could have possibly hoped for.

For a sunny day i paired them with a simple black midi dress and timeless denim jacket. Sunny casual outfits are some of my most favourite.

You should try Greek made sandals…we have an "expertise" over here and never had issues with any brand! I usually get the "breaking in" problem with peep toe shoes (every year when I start wearing them). Espadrilles are really nice and comfy indeed, but year in Greece are to warm for summer!

Yes you're right Anna.. they may be a little warm int he heat.. here in the UK with our mid to low temperatures they're ok. I would love to try a properly greek pair of sandals.. i bet they are so comfy! XX

First of all I love your dress, bag and shoes and those necklaces are so cute and dainty. Secondly, I am linking a very similar outfit today with my denim jacket, a LBD and similar slip-on loafers. Check it out. =) Great minds think alike, hey?

    Happy Weekend Rachel!

Loving this look. Such a pretty dress and looks it great with the denim jacket. Espadrilles add the perfect finishing touch, and love the fringe bag. I have one just like it that I can't get enough of!

The crazy things we do for shoes!! Your experience is definitely traumatizing!! I recently purchase a pair of espadrilles. I have yet to wear it, but like how you combined it with a skirt.

Fabulous shoes. I love how you paired them with the maxi dress, so chic!!! I have a pair of ankle strap espadrilles and I love them too. They are a great change from my normal sandals.

I love the fringes of the bag against the cut out detail of the dress. And great choice to wear a light denim jacket over the dress. Wearing in new shoes is a right pain sometimes – literally a pain – so what a relief to find comfy shoes. Wish I could wear espadrilles but flat shoes just don't suit my flat arches!

Your hair looks stunning Rachel! I love espadrilles too & wore mine today! I have some black lace ones from H&M last year & its like going out in your slippers! Andrea x

Sometimes I buy shoes that I'm convinced should be the comfiest things ever and they still tear up the back of my ankles. It's always a mystery if a pair will truly be comfy enough to walk distances in! I love these espadrilles you found though. They look comfy and I'm glad they really are. I'm loving the denim jacket and black dress combination too.
