As predicted, as soon as the kids go back to school, the persistent rain leaves,. the clouds part and the sun comes out. Its not super warm in the mornings,it’s actually quite chilly, but by the afternoon the day has heated up and it can be quite hot.
So what to wear in this tricky weather? Good question. Honestly? I’m stumped most mornings, so my go-to formula seems to have been a maxi dress and cardigan or light jacket. Simple and easy, and as they day goes on i will shed the light layer and then re-instate it in the chill of the evening.
This dress has been on constant rotation this summer (I’m surprised it’s not been on here before now) It’s actually from last year and is still a summer favourite of mine. Paired with the slouchy cardigan it has been the perfect outfit to throw on for easy days or dates with the hubs.
So do you have a way of dealing with the late summer weather we’ve been having? Typical British summer really, rain all August and sunshine through September. I have to admit, i am so excited for when its that bit cooler and i can wear tights and chunky knitwear.. anyone else with me on that one? Crisp sunny days but with a chill in the air are my favourite!
I normally wear some simple gold hoops and a gold bangle with this outfit, but forgot to grab them off the shelf beofre leaving (d’oh!) so do me a favour and picture some pretty gold hoop earrings and a chunky gold bangle, yes? Aw thanks, you’re a good ‘un.
