New Year, New Dress

It only feels right to welcome the new year in with a new dress (and a new jacket too, thanks to my darling hubs for picking out the best Xmas pressie!)
I feel like i am actually excited for what this year could hold, which is a feeling i haven’t felt for a long time. I have found hope and excitement with it. Its kinda nice 🙂

Im still working on my 30 before 30 list which i want to finalise and post pretty soon to give myself some goals to work to this coming year. I also have a couple of great projects i’m working on this month which i’m looking forward to starting, one is an impending 100 day No-shopping challenge!! Anyone interested in joining me?  Its something i’ve wanted to inflict on myself for a real long time, but now feels good. I have SO very many clothes, i do not need to shop, i literally do it as a hobby for fun. But i want to enjoy and make the most of my current wardrobe and remix and re use lots of what i already have. So 100 days of no spend, starting Monday 6th Jan. If anyone wants to join me let me know, we can form a little self help group to see us through the days 😉 Its gunna be a challenge but one i am ready to embrace!

So funny trying to do the blogger poses when theres an audience. There were literally people staring which was hilarious (and uncomfortable!) I’m so used to quiet little countryside back streets that when it comes to open spaces and tourist attractions (Ogmore Castle in this case) i get flustered. Its like no ones seen a girl having her photo taken before, LOL! But i am trying to overcome my care of what others think and overcoming any embarrassment, you only live once right?

Its quite the beauty spot here, theres the castle and rivers and fields and just a little further along it opens up on to Ogmore beach. This place has a very special place in my heart as its where hubby proposed many moons ago;) I haven’t been down here for so long, life kept getting in the way. 2014 is the year for getting out more for sure.

Oh god I wouldn't have the bravery to take blog photos in front of a crowd! Go you! I love this outfit, especially the tights! Xo

Most of my blog photographs are taken in Lancashire, where my boyfriend lives. Here in St Helens, it's just too busy and so uncomfortable when people walk by and STARE! It was only today when I was sale shopping, I realised that I don't actually NEED anything new! I am very very tempted to join you in this 100 day no clothes purchasing ban. It sounds crazy, but I managed to buy no dresses for Lent last year! Make me do it, please?

Rachel, I love your idea of the 100 days of no shopping. This is just the inspiration I needed. So yes, I'll join you.

I can't stand when people stare! What's so interesting about people having their picture taken – or even taking their own picture? I'll never understand. Luckily your pictures still turned out cute. I love your new dress paired with the leather jacket. Those tights have such a cool pattern too. I love wearing tights like those!

These photos turned out very beautifully, you live in such a beautiful piece of land! Your husband truly has good taste, it is a great jacket!
Hope you have an amazing 2014!

I fit a size 16-18, and the 3x is a bit loose at the waist, but not enough to take in, just enough to not pinch as sit down and to conceal my chubs.
