Sunday Dress

Sundays have always been about chilling out and having that one day a week to do what you want to do. No work, just play. But as a mama with kiddos its not normally completely the case, but i make do with snagging an hour here or there to just read my kindle or write a blog post, or drag them along to Starbucks which we all enjoy and have cake and coffees.  Yep Sunday i like you.. a lot!

And with that an easy-peasy outfit is required for an easy relaxed day. My mum and i both saw this dress in Matalan when we were not shopping together and when we saw each other both spoke about this gorgeous navy dress we’d seen.  Thrifty mama bear said wait as the sales are imminent, so i listened  to wise old mama bear and got this lovely number for half off at £12. Its so light and comfy to wear that its the perfect Sunday dress.  Add a hat to cover 2 day old hair and i was good to go (don’t you just love hats, they cover a multitude of sins!)

On the front of these cream tights I have 2 h-uge dirt patches. I have said it before and it never changes, I can not be trusted with white 🙁 im just too clumsy. Getting the pram out of the car and fighting with it to put it up with a toddler and bags meant my poor tights got all dirty. I dont even remember doing it. All i know is i have dirty wheel marks down one leg… not cool. Hubby has good skills though as he’s cut off my legs in most of the photos and aimed the right angle to avoid said dirt patches. (Good work babe heehee!!)

Dresses with sleeves  and pockets are my favourite. As much as i am happy for slightly warmer weather and Spring, i shall miss my thick cable knit tights and slouchy beanies…

Will you miss anything about winter?

What a fabulous dress! You look beautiful.

I love the blue dress (which kind of reminds me of a Russian doll, in a good way)and white tights.

Another fabulous look for your super stylish wardrobe.

    That dress is absolutely gorgeous!

I always prefer being cold than being hot, so I know I'm going to miss winter… pretty much everything about it, actually.

This dress is beautiful, the embroidery makes me smile! I'm going to miss Winter . . but then I'm a dedicated Autumn/Winter sort of gal. It's all books, tea and cosy blankets here at chez Clutter!

Sundays are my favorite too. Hang out at home, or maybe go get coffee with friends. Mom always cooks a nice, family dinner. 🙂

The only thing I'll miss about winter is the sweater-boots-leggings uniform I've been in for the past few months.

You look beautiful in this dress. How nice that you have such a thoughtful photographer!

I will certainly miss all of my fall and winter clothes. I think that they generally look richer and more expensive even if they're not.

I will also miss my hats. I wear them every day in the winter which saves me a small fortune in haircuts and color.

I'll definitely miss tights and layers in the spring, but I can't wait for Warmer weather! You look so lovely! That dress is beautiful, especially the little pockets. I'm loving the beanie too! You look great in it. Sundays are always so great and relaxing 🙂

I always miss wearing tights when the weather warms up. It gets really hot here so I kind of dread the warm weather starting soon.
Your blue dress is so pretty and it was a bargain too! I love the embroidery detailing on it. The white tights look perfect with it too. I always end up with dirt stains on my light colored tights, so I understand! They're hard to keep clean!

This dress is gorgeous, very jealous of your sales bargain!

Wow — that dress is absolutely stunning and looks great on you. I'm so glad I found your blog; I recently have realized I am head-over-heels in love with hats. Can't wait to be inspired by yours!

I am loving your outfit especially that dress. So lovely! I hear you. I have two kids as well under the age of 5. It's nice to be able to have a little break though and keep out sanity in tact. LOL! 🙂 Visiting you here via Visible Monday.

You are the only real woman in the real world who can make thick white tights work such a treat! As always, you look amazing, young Rachael!
