Well hello there lovelies,
How the heck are you? Good? I hope so.
I have recently taken down my winter clothes from hibernation (they are still in a pile on my bedroom floor though just waiting to be put away…ugh, don’t feel like doing that, at all!!). It feels like I’ve been on a major shopping spree and have all these cool new clothes to play with without the hefty bill! SO fun. I sat on my bedroom floor knee deep in knitwear and winter goodies with a notepad and pen, listing all the combo’s I could think of. I love to make clothes lists, geeky but good! Do you make lists of you outfits? Just me? Okayyyy, moving on….
I’m yet to actually delve in to the list and wear anything just yet, but there are a whole load of outfit posts I am excited to do! I still get such a kick outta playing dress up!
This outfit is one i have been wearing on and off for weeks! I just cant help but love how it looks (Paul hates it, he thinks the blouse looks shockingly bad underneath, but what does he know, huh?!*blows raspberry in his general direction*)
I have discovered I own A LOT of patterned dresses in my wardrobe, which is great and all, but makes remixing an item multiple times a little more difficult. This red dress however, is soooo versatile! Some times i feel positively giddy with the amount of possibilities that this dress carries with it. I have worn it a few times on this blog and whenever I’m feeling a little low, this dress is my go to. Maybe its the bright red colour which I love so much, or maybe that its stretchy comfy-ness that makes me want to go back to it time and time again, either way, I am happy to have you in my wardrobe red dress, many thanks š
Dress: Tesco (old)
Blouse: Very (last year)
Trench: Next
Cat Shoes: Ebay
Bag: New Look
Brooch: Vintage
I wore this today (as well as twice last week, yes im stinky :-/ ) to see my amazing Sister at a craft fair she was an exhibtor at with her stall of gorgeous fabric and goodies. I’m super proud of that girl and her wonderful little business. I only hope she becomes a multi millionaire (think next Cath Kidston type lady) and she looks after her lil ol’ sis, heehee!
Then Mia, Neo and I went for a nice brunch where I had the most amazing Emmental and mushroom grilled cheese sandwich and Gingerbread Latte, sure was the taste of autumn right there! And let me tell you it was sooo bloody good!!
And now I’m off to go make Fajitas and Nachos for dinner. Weekends are allll about the food, wouldn’t you agree?
So my lovelies, wishing you a wonderful week full of happiness and yummy food;-)

That dress is so cute! And I make clothing lists too! I usually do it when I'm bored in class, but we'll be all shushy about that. š

Mmm, fajitas and nachos, yes weekends are all about food!
Love that dress, so retro and the color is very eye-catching. Glad to have found your blog!
Well, I LOVE that blouse underneath haha š And I like printed dresses too but there's nothing like a versatile solid one š
That dress is gorgeous on you. I've just realised that ALL of my dresses, bar one, are patterned. I think I'll have to go shopping soon to rectify that!

Rachel I think I have that same dress but in white: from Tesco a couple of years ago, yes?? It's funny I've hardly worn mine, but you look so lovely in yours I should get mine out and layer it up! I love how you've styled yours from head to toe – red, black and cream is a WINNER! You're getting Pinned in a couple of seconds lovely lady ;)))
Have a great week, hun!

Today is the first day this year that I've thought to myself 'yay sweater weather!!'
It's officially time for me to dig out all my cold weather clothes too. š
Oooh, this look is stunning!! And agreed, I too am trying to move towards more solid colours it really does make re-mixing a whole lot easier! Haha, yup, love cooking on the weekends. Enjoy!! xo V
Paul is crazy, the blouse under this dress looks AMAZING. I need a good red dress like this, it really does seem versatile. I also need to get my hands on a pair of Charlotte Olympia look-a-like flats! You look darling, as always.

You are way too organised Lady! Love the dress and blouse combo, you can mix it numerous ways. Dress and leggings is my staple at the moment – well it is either that or a tent lol! Hope you are all well,
Big hugs, Stel xx
Love how you combined the blouse with the dress. Very cute outfit.

Our weekends are always about the food, and staying up way to late eating said food, lol. I'm also crazy and love making lists, I'm glad there's other list addicts out there š I think the shirt looks great underneath, a perfect layer for the cooler weather. Love the look!

Well *I* love that blouse with that dress – sometimes men know nothing about fashion š
this is absolute adorable look – love the bright red dress.
Now I see what you're saying about the remix-ability of this dress -so cute! Personally I love it with the blouse underneath, Rachel. Sometimes, the men just have to trust us and our womanly fashion instincts!!! ~Sarah
love how you layered that dress under the blouse!

I love that top underneath, but I've definitely confused my husband with some of my layering ideas before š That red dress is perfect for remixing and you did it perfectly! I love that bag too. You are adorable as ever!
Yes! I keep a Seasonal Fantasy Fashion List on Evernote, complete with nerdy little checkboxes in front of each item. I'm also avoiding putting all the summer things away … my excuse is that I might use them in layers this winter.
Dress and blouse combo working for you!
I LOVE this dress on you and the top does look cute under it so nyah! š

This outfit is FAB, ignore your hubby! š xo

Once again, you make wearing bold colors look easy! A red sundress has been on my shopping list, and though summer is over I haven't found one. It'd because I need mine to be a very particular shade of red…with a slight orange undertone. It's so tough when I'm so picky!

You look great in that outfit!! What is he thinking? I love the red/black/neutral color combo, too!
A remixable dress is the best kind of dress! And this one is just plain adorable. I don't know what Paul's on about – your blouse looks fantastic under the dress! But I would go with the old rule that if your husband doesn't get your outfit, then it means you're doing something right š

I think the blouse looks great under the dress! You have to have at least one pattern in the outfit, right?
I own a ton of patterned dresses as well, so lately I've found myself really going towards the few solid colored dresses and changing them up a bit, too, with undershirts and whatnot. Even putting a sweater over is fun and gives it an entirely different look! This look that you created is darling and is so something I would put together/wear myself. You know it š
Hi There,
It has been a while. You are just as stylish as ever. Love the brilliant layers.
Oh, you are speaking to the queen of 'outfit lists'. I actually go as far as having them in an excel spreadsheet where I can sort and search by categories!
Daphne.
