Autumn is…

….Cosy jumper, Layers, elbow patches, tights and brogues.

Throw some hot chocolates with extra marshmallows and cream, some family movie nights (Back to the future 1,2 and 3 and now we’re on to good old Indiana Jones)  And that’s what i call some great autumnal times! What makes Autumn for you?

I’ve been really enjoying some casual down time on weekend, this skirt is so comfy. I don’t own many neutrals at all so think this is great for remixing possibilities. I can picture it with some tan knee high boots for a 60’s retro look.

Skirt: Matalan

Shoes: Next

Shirt: Tesco

Jumper(sweater): New Look last year

elbow patches, i just love elbow patches!

So its back to the grindstone here, and even more so as Hubs is working away for the week. Which is CRAZY weird. We have literally only spent 1 night away from each other in 6 years, but needs must and work is work. But its nice to have something to look forward to, the thought of his return is keeping a smile on this face! I know sooopppyyy! heehee!

And Whilst he’s away i am knitting my little fingers off, a lovely reader asked what im knitting and the answer to that is a snood ( or infinity scarf), something simple for this novice knitter. But Oh my, its all consuming, all i want to do is knit and get it to at least a reasonable scarf length. Have i ever mentioned that i am soooo impatient!? Any of you lovely ladies knit? Do you have any easy knitting projects i could get my teeth in to?

ummmm, hot chocolate? oh ok then..

So sweeties, i  wish you all a very happy week!Have a hot choccy for me!

I want some brogues soon! I haven't managed to come across the perfect pair, yet, though! You look great in your layers!

Very cute Rach! I love elbow patches too 🙂 Hope your time away from hubby is short lived. I always hate when my hubby travels for work. Guess we love our men!

This outfit looks so cosy, I don't know why but elbow patches always scream Autumn to me. As much as I tried I could never manage to get into knitting, I have been rediscovering embrodriary lately though, it seems everyone is getting creative as the weather gets colder xo

Ohh, such a perfect fall outfit. And your backdrop is gorgeous! So jealous. It always sucks being away from your SO for an extended period, but it's true what they say — absence makes the heart grow fonder! It seriously does. At least for a little bit. 😉

LOVE this look, Rachel! I adore a good, classic layered outfit. And the details are fantastic too -great necklace, darling elbow patches, and I love your nails! I don't knit, but I do crochet and I'm hoping to make a cozy cowel for the colder months. Happy Monday!!! ~Sarah

Such a cute outfit! And it must have been uber cheap too yet doesn't look it at all! Just goes to show there's a lot to be said for the British high street/supermarket! Lol
