Mint with pops of Pink & Lilac (&Passion4Fashion Linkup!)

Lately i have been spending A LOT of time at my laptop, what with the blog and trying to consciously have a steady stream of posts and my super new super exciting venture (more details soon! i can't wait to share with you all) I'm truly feeling a little cyber burn-out. Last night i woke up in a cold sweat after a major dream about drowning in a pool of statement necklaces (scary i tell you!)
So this weekend, for the majority, i am going to unplug. I say for the majority because the OCD side of me still wants to have a post ready for Sunday, but my head space i am going to try and free up.
I have just downloaded The Happiness Project and I'm really keen to get stuck in to it. Have you read it? Did you enjoy if you have?

Just a simple pastel outfit today. This mint blouse was an absolute steal from Warehouse for £10, its  got a beautiful cut with sheer panels at the front and a beautiful V shaped one to the back, which is did not get photographed..shame on me! But it's flowy and pretty and feels nice on. Pastels with a pop of pink easy and pleasey.

Jumping in to Jumpsuits

After experimenting with the relaxed trouser (see here and here) I have turned my eye to jumpsuits, which to be quite frank is completely out of my comfort zone. My friend and i were discussing how playsuits (the short variety) feel kind of odd on and make me look (feel?) like Sponge Bob square pants.. Not a look i would be generally aiming for.
But the jumpsuit has been catching my eye more and more of late and i feel myself wanting to try this trend. But what do i go for? Plain black or patterned. Sleeves  or no sleeves..
I really think this may be one of those items that will need a trying on session to see the fit and how i feel in them.
So far these are my favourites..

1. 2. 3. 4. 5.

To me the black is the safer option. I really like the idea of throwing on a black jumpsuit, some statement heels and a gorgeous necklace and heading out the door. Simple, easy but effective.
I know i may be over thinking it here but i wonder if less material on top ie straps rather than full on sleeves and closed in neckline, would look a bit more flattering on me, raising the eyes up away from my bottom heavier pear shaped parts.
Having said that number 2 is probably my complete favourite.
Then I've thrown in a few cute options, especially the red tropical print as wild cards. Can you picture golden sandals and a beach wavy hair and that looks like a grat summer evening outfit to me.

Do you own a jumpsuit and do you have any great tips on where to get one?
Or are they a big No-No to you?

Yellow and Turquoise Outfit

Yellow and turquoise (or aquamarine) are such a pretty summer colour combination don't you think? I think i recently saw these colours together on Pintrest and thought they worked tremendously well together. They feel summery like the beach and the sea, they are two colours that were made for each other. The black added in wasn't what i was originally going to go with, i was thinking more white or cream vest top and nude shoes, but after the blazer arrived and had black feature zips i thought i would bring it in with the vest top and down to the shoes.
Isn't the skirt a beauty? This was Donna's choice from F&F for #frockswapuk. When i first saw it doing its rounds with the girls i thought it was pretty but not something i would choose. Skirts and me are sometimes not friends. They can sit funny across my waist and add bulk where i do not need any (more) adding.
But...
The skirt is lovely, a great length and the waistline is simple (adding no bulk), it ran a little big on me so i may buy it (its on sale for £10!!) a size down and treasure it.
What do you think, does it have remix potential ladies, should i add it to my rotation?

Reverse Pink Lady

Happy long weekend everyone! Don't you just love bank holidays, a freebie extra day tagged on to the normally short weekend equals awesomeness! I motion that all weekends should be 3 days long.. how happy would everyone on this planet be if that were case.. I should be Prime Minister or world leader or something;
3 day weekends, free shoes for all and world peace of course. My theory is you give out free shoes and 3 day weekends, the world peace will just fall right in to place, right?! (if only huh!)
Anyway on to the outfit, the weather is just diabolical here in Wales at the moment...torrential rain and thunder storms is just no fun! Where is the beautiful sunshine when you need it huh?
So to perk myself up i wore lots of pinky colours and my favourite biker jacket which all kinda looked like a reverse Pink Lady to me, heehee! All finished of with a new statement necklace which may well be my new favourite, its extra sparkliness (even a word?) made me feel like a princess all day, i may even keep it on with my pj's for movie and games night tonight ;)

Can i just quickly touch on this bag, its just adorable and perfect. I've been after a fuchsia bright pink bag for a long time. I had the internal argument of big bag vs small bag for practicality reasons, especially as a mamma, i get to carry all sorts of crap around with me.
But this time i went for the small bag, a bag just for me, and i love it!!

Floral Green Trousers (&Passion4Fashion Linkup)

Sometimes my crazy clothes-loving heart just falls head over heels for a pair of loud floral trousers. And so then you Instgram a picture of them to which the lovely people reply "GET THEM!" so I did. And then i could not stop wearing them . They're just so damn comfy and lovely. By just adding in a pair of heels it takes me from 'slummy' to 'effort-was-made-here' and yet all still very comfy. Did i mention they are comfy? hahaha
From not being sure about this relaxed trousers thing (or fancy joggers if you will) i now own 3 pairs.. Embracing change over here people and it feels gooood (and comfy hahaha)
I've just been keeping it super simple with black or white tshirts when wearing them, and a blazer.
Today i added in a fun pop of orange because i do love green and orange as a colour combo, they just feel so good together. I do fancy trying some stripes on top and doing a little pattern mixing with these trousers, but for now it's simple on top funky on the bottom ;)

1 Fever Dress, 3 ways

Recently  Fever London set the excellent challenge of 1 dress styled 3 ways to correspond with fever's 3 main styles:
Occasion
City (work wear)
Heritage (casual )

So with my beautiful red Chelsea Pencil Dress i set out to try and create 3 looks with 1 dress...

Occasion

I wanted a smart look that could work for a wedding or evening doo, or a party.
The rich red dress is perfect for a special event, with its curve clinging material and flattering cut its really a perfect party dress. I chose to go with a little black and white theme with the red striking out form beneath.

City

I wanted to pull together a smart work outfit for the City Look, to do this i layered a light cream blouse under the red dress to give a more covered look. Plus air con in offices can be chilly. I finished off with a trench, a smart shoulder bag and blue heels for a pop of colour fun.

And finally

Heritage (Casual)

This was the one style i thought i may struggle with.  Heritage it may not be but casual weekender it is. I actually ended up loving this outfit and will definitely sport this come the weekend. With the scarf and denim jacket being perfect for this in-betweeny weather, and flat practical shoes for comfort and ease, I was sold on this weekend easy outfit.

So there we have it ladies, 1 dress 3 ways.
Do you have a dress that works in lots of different ways for you?

AND....
if you are a Fever lover and have a Fever dress yourself  then you need to get invloved in teh excellent competition they are running;
Get dressed up in your beautiful Fever dress, snap a great photo of yourself in it and post to  TwitterInstagram or Facebook with the hastag #WearingFever and you could be in with a chance to win £100 Fever Voucher... See all the details HERE..
