Gold Tipped Boots

Style, its a funny old thing isnt it. Regardless of who you are or what you wear we all have our own sense of it, good or bad is personal preference of course. I like that from blogging i can actually see a transition of my style from over the years/months/weeks.  Sometimes a style to me can be fleeting, other times its a progression, a work in progress that i keep running with. I've mentioned a few times that i can definitely feel myself pulled to different styles and pieces these days..take my new boots. I absolutely, can not even get enough, 100% love them. Its crazy as i would not have looked twice at them say a year ago, but now, man i want to literally pair them with every single outfit i wear. Plus they are super comfy to boot (ha, excuse the pun)

I guess i just like adding that edgier-edge to an outfit these days. Take a floral dress from the ton i have add a twist and i am good to go. These buckle cut out boots provide that twist, like the lime in my gin and lemonade, they give me that edge that makes things seem right.... or maybe thats the gin talking (?!ha)

Speaking of style, don't you just love how blogging can be so inspirational. Ive said it before and i will happily say it again, the blogasphere is awesome. My outfit was inspired by this outfit by Julie of Orchid Grey.. her girly/edgy/boho style is beyond amazing, i was in love with her shoes and managed to bag myself a (cheaper) pair. Needless to say i think they shall be getting a lot of wear this autumn.

Have you bought anything lately that you wouldn't have bought say, a year ago?

Dress: Warehouse (last spring)

  1. I love these boots, they suit my style to a tee. I probably would have worn these a year ago, I'm trying to adopt a more classic style these days. We'll see how that evolves! xx

  3. I love these boots, too. I love boots. Period. Love your dress, too. That's funny, I was inspired by my gf for my outfit today, just like you. And it's pretty similar too. How funny is that? Your hubby takes terrific photos. The second pic with the sunlight is gorgeous.
    Have a lovely weekend.

  4. Those boots are sweet!! For the longest time I was so in love with black boots of all sorts....now I've branched out a little more as far as colors, but I'll always love boots. Buckles or laces are my top two favorite boot features!

  5. I love these boots. I have do many Girly dresses and like to pair them with more edgy boots. I've turned into my mum a bit this year though and being pregant I don't want to slip and fall do I've been searching for boots I like that have grips! They're impossible to find! These photos are beautiful. Your husband has captured the light beautifully.

  6. I love those boots and your necklace! It is fun how you can look back and see what you were wearing even just a year ago and see the complete difference sometimes! My style has changed a bit since last year. The past few years I've been obsessed with dresses and still am, but I use to constant mix and match odd patterns together with all different colors (ex: yellow striped sweater with green polka dot dress and red striped tights with a blue bandana). Now my style has evolved to a more retro look, I love 1950s/rockabilly style. Sometimes I still clash colors, but it's generally all solid color blocking!

  9. I have so much I wouldn't have bought a year ago. Now a days, I do much of my shopping at stores like Goodwill & Value Village. You just find things NO ONE else will have. A year ago I would have never done it.

I love the look too. I do that a lot...adding a "twist" to a floral or girly dress!
