Today here in the UK is Mothers day. I for one would like to say i sure do love my mum and am so very grateful for who she is. She is such a wonderful lady! I am one lucky girl.
So yep... i am loving March so far. Mothers day, time with family, my wedding anniversary coming up and possibly our new home (hopefully very soon!!)
This was my spring has sprung new orange dress! But i think i was a lettle too much of an eager beaver with that one, its in minus figures again and seems to be staying that way for most of the week...eek! Just as i was about to pack away the winter woolies, Mother Nature surprises me again...nice one, you got me good. Now please can we have some more of that nice mild weather again? Thanks in advance... :-)
I've started browsing for some spring additions to my wardrobe, i've been perusing bag collections lately. With going to the new house and down sizing, i am determined to get rid of most of my bags and just go with 3 really good timeless bags that i can use for all occasions. This is no easy feat let me tell you as i have bags of all shapes, sizes and colours. Minimal living is HARD! But i am getting there. And as a reward for getting rid of 98% of my bags i am going to treat myself! I have been cyber stalking John Lewis for their Fossil Handbags for a while. Have you seen their bird print bags? Ahh, they are just my cup of tea, a piece i would be happy to hold on my arm for a long time me thinks.
Can you believe, just as i'm about to move away from this small town i find this second great lake and beautiful scenery.... Least we know we can come here again, its not even that far from our new house (yay!)

Scarf & tights: Matalan

Has Spring sprung where you are in the world?

Everything you pair together looks so pretty! I love the stripes against the orange! The cat shoes are so cute! I keep meaning to customise one of my pairs of shoes into cat faces!!x
ReplyDeleteLove the outfit! xx
ReplyDeleteYour polka dot tights look so great with your pretty orange dress! I like the floral scarf too. It definitely makes the outfit more spring-appropriate. I'm sure it'll warm up there soon enough. I think spring has sprung here already which means the awful Georgia humidity will kick in soon. Oh well!
ReplyDeleteLove your outfit, very pretty! I know, I can't believe it that last week I was walking around without my jacket on because it was nice and mild and now they say it's going to snow, this weather is crazy
ReplyDeletePlease come and check out my latest post if you have a few minutes spare :)
p.s. I’ve given the blog a bit of a face lift!

You leap off the page in this beautiful outfit! It almost looks like you were photoshopped onto the location in the first shot. The countryside is gorgeous too, I must say. Good luck with all the changes in your life. Only three bags? Hmmm. Not sure if I could do that, though. :-)
ReplyDeleteIt was snowing here today. And hail stones. And rain. And sun. I mean, I know people joke about Scotland having four seasons in one day, but come on! So I second your plea for milder weather!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE that dress, the colour is fabulous! Good luck with the move!! Xo
Your dress and scarf combo is delightful! I have seen the Fossil bird purses and adore them - I can absolutely see one for your future. Thanks for sharing with Visible Monday!
ReplyDeleteLove the bright colors and love the landscape! Spring has not sprung in my neck of the woods yet; had a foot of snow on Saturday.
ReplyDeleteI just love your sense of style. The color combo a well as the little details on the tights, shoes and stripes of the sweater that being a cohesiveness especially when wearing bold colors. I may need to copy it somehow...so creative!!
ReplyDeleteAll the little details work so nicely together - the scarf, the dotted tights, and the kitty faces! And those are colors you could wear year-round.
ReplyDeleteIt's starting to get warm here, but we never have very cold winters. We have very long springs and very long autumns. I can't believe how many other places are still getting snow - yikes!
wow, I like this place! The loafers and your cardigan look so nice, it's such an unique but stylish outfit :)
ReplyDeleteLoving this look. The color combo is beautiful (I can never pull off orange and black that well!) and the shoes are so cute!
ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL pictures, and beautiful outfit! Happy Mothers day in the UK! :)
ReplyDeleteNo we seem to have the surprise of snow here aswell. Nothing wrong with a little longer of winter woolies and layering though.
ReplyDeleteThe colour of that dress has real impact which you pull off really well. Also the Kitty shoes are so cute!

I so love the combination of color and pattern in your outfit. With your dark hair and beautiful features... very striking. Here's hoping spring sticks around soon there... and that you and your less-is-more minimal bag collection can move in to your new house soon. Thanks for sharing your musings and beautiful photos! ReplyDeleteAw, Happy Mother's Day to all the UK Mums!
ReplyDeleteLove that color dress and all the fun, quirky accessories, especially those adorable flats. What gorgeous scenery behind you too!
What a delightful combination of prints! And the shoes made me smile.
ReplyDeleteI think its been colder here in March than any other month this winter. But I'm fine with that. I still have so many winter clothes to yet wear. Maybe if I change clothes several times a day I can get some wear out of them! : )
I am so ready for spring here in Seattle too! Hopefully your Mother's Day has felt fun and sunny for you!!! I love the mix of the stripes and florals in your look. And your hair is just gorgeous, as always! ~Sarah

It's pretty much perpetual spring here in Hawaii. I would say that it was perpetual summer but I live on the rainy side of the island. I miss the cold and the snow.
