School Uniform

Hiya guys!
How are you? Please excuse my sudden absence of late, apparently after 200 posts i obviously needed a break, who knew.
Actually my photographer was away for the week, i had a week off from wearing make up and had a stinky head cold thats still lingering. But rest assured i was still getting dressed each day, but mostly in jeans and big ol' wooly jumpers. 'Twas nice!
But i'm back to it this week and i *hope* regular posts should resume!

This outfit is a funny thing, its the exact colours of my High school uniform that i was made to wear 5years and i was so glad to see the back of over 11 years ago (eep)! We had a burgundy and yellow striped tie that was irritating and we were not allowed to wear a scrap of make up (catholic schooled i was.... yup!)
School wasnt the best time for me, its not something i look back on fondly. Kids are mean! But if i'd gotten to wear pretties like this to school each day, id say it would have made it a damn sight easier, or at least a bit prettier. Having said that, i was an 80's born kid and high schooled in the 90's so i doubt very much that this is what i'd have worn. I remember having a style crush on Angela of My So Called Life. (thanks to my older sis who knew what all the cool kids were watching ;) Angela was a dithering nervous girl and i could totally relate to that, and of course, she got Jared Leto... need i say more?

Top: Tesco
Cardi: New Look (last year)
Shoes: Matalan
Owl necklace and hair bow : Old

So ....Shoes!! These shoes are like jazz/ tap dance shoes... they're sooo cool! Matalan have some fantastic shoes this a/w! Seriously amazing! I just couldn't resist this pair when i saw them in the magazines. Add super comfy in to the shoe equation and you've got yourself some pretty perfect shoes right there.

Ahem, excuse the old lady wrinkly tights up there! Dead Schexy huh!

Ok so you have yourself a wonderful week wont you?!
I shall be seeing you soon!
Also the Sponsor Page is now up and running fully, feel free to go over and have a gander at how extremely cheap i am haha! Will also be doing a post on it hopefully tomorrow!
xxx

  1. Great outfit. I loved My So Called Life! It's strange because my sixth form uniform was an oxblood colour and I hated it at the time, but I love it now. x

  10. It's funny how you feel nostalgic for school uniforms after it has been long enough. I had to wear a kilt to school every day (private school in Scotland) and I hated it. I swore I would never willing wear a kilt ever again. Then last week I spotted a girl walking down the street wearing a kilt and denim skirt and wow, she looked amazing. Then I remember how cosy they were in winter, and, yup, I've pulled out my old school kilt. I think it is going to become a staple item this winter.

You look lovely, the oxblood mixed with yellow makes it look so much more cheerful. And those shoes, seriously pretty. I love everything about this outfit xo
