We Are Family...

Hi folks
I am currently in the middle of one of the worst weeks....ever.
Running a business in a recession is the hardest thing i have ever had to do. This all might sound a bit random -sorry.

In these tough times its family that keep you going...

Colourful bunch arent we

"cccccoooooooooowwwwwwwwws, mooooooooooo"

We are family :)

All i feel like doing right now is wrapping myself in my duvet and hiding from the world. I dont feel like wearing pretty dresses and nice shoes. I want to wear pj's and eat Nutella out of the jar.
The next few weeks may be very hard.
I'm going to try and continue getting up and at least getting dressed each day.
And if you dont see me within a week....send for help, the tracksuit brigade may have gotten me;)

Take care lovelies and really hope to be back with positive news and happy dresses soon.
xxx
Ps send good thoughts for my little business wont you... the more the better. Some good thoughts right now, could go a long way.

PPS these photos were taken about 3 weeks ago when we didn't have torrential rain and i was still relatively sane :-/

  1. I hear ya, sister! "I want to wear pj's and eat Nutella out of the jar." << I'm pretty sure you liked my peanut butter picture on Instagram yesterday. That would have been Nutella if I had any. Hugs to you dear.

  3. We are in the same boat, my dear! I understand completely. It is SO hard to maintain when self employed a lot of the time. I live from day to day financially, too, and it can be maddening. The tracksuit brigade already got to me. I've eaten all the nutella and bananas. I haven't combed my hair in two days. Working away and willing it to pay off! I really hope things look up for you soon! I know how stressful it can all be and sometimes some small positive news can turn things around. (Well, enough to be able to function at least.) You're in my heart!

  10. Aw, Rachel, I hope things get better. I work in the law, which has been hit hard by the down economy. I don't take paychecks for granted, that's for sure.

The orange and blue are so beautiful together, and so is your family. Plus, I'm always a sucker for a style blogger's pooch pic :P

Lynne, thanks so much. yes this economy is so tough right now. i could talk your ears off all day about our struggles as a business right now and how there just doesnt seem to be a way out of this recession (that is still totally here, regardless of the governments statistics!) But i wont, lol.

  21. I am a little late in posting this but do try to stay positive. i know it is hard but it will at some point get better. Every business is struggling and all we can do is give it our all and show people what we are made of.

    Huge hugs

  22. Oh, Rachel I will be praying for you and your family's business. The recession is horrible in the US, too unfortunately. I wish so many people weren't having such huge monetary difficulties right now. Myself and my own parents included. My parents have their own A/C, heating and refrigeration business. Needless to say they were always so well off in their business until about four years ago. Now they're barely making ends meet or just enough to get by. I feel so horrible and always pray for them and everyone else in the same boat.
Y'all will make it through this. Just keep smiling, and yes, the key is to make yourself feel great on the outside and it will transcend into how you feel on the inside, even if it's just a little. Sometimes a little goes a long way. Hugs and kisses from New Jersey! xoxo
